Under his leadership the brand is executing a bold vision to become internationally renowned – blending heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design to redefinne how the world experiences handmade rugs.

Melouk Mokhtar, a fifth-generation member of the Kahhal family, holds a degree in Hospitality Management. As Head of Brand Development and Client Relations at Kahhal 1871, she leads the brand’s storytelling, manages hotel partnerships, and curates bespoke client experiences—bridging heritage with innovation to ensure each rug reflects both legacy and contemporary global taste.

Bosaina El Kahhal, a fifth-generation member of the Kahhal family, is the Creative Director of KAHHAL 1871. With global experience in fashion, design, and hospitality, she reimagined the brand for a new era. Educated in London, New York, and Tokyo, her work has featured at ICA London, D3 Dubai, MUCEM, and VOGUE.
