Art d’egypte
For this edition, Mohamed El Kahhal unveiled a special collaboration with four distinguished regional and international artists: Sam Shendi, Alex Proba, Camille Fishel, and Rashed Al Shashai. Together, they reimagined the boundaries of textile art through seven one-of-a-kind rugs, each translating the artist’s unique visual identity into woven form.
From Shendi’s sculptural precision and Proba’s bold use of color, to Fishel’s graphic clarity and Al Shashai’s layered symbolism, the collection stands as a dialogue between mediums, where art becomes tactile and craft becomes contemporary.
Through this collaboration, Kahhal 1871 reinforces its commitment to bridging heritage with modern creativity, transforming artistic vision into timeless works of woven art that speak to the cultural pulse of today.
