Designer sisters Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf collaborate with Kahhal 1871 and Kahhal Kilims to create the “Nazar Capsule Collection” of Kilims, Silk and Wool rugs. The design of their collection is centered on the culturally renown Nazar Amulet. Egyptians and many others for centuries have strongly believed in the protection of the Amulet against the fabled evil eye. The designers have always been intrigued by the cultural myth and showcase their take on the Nazar Amulet by reintroducing it in a colourful and vibrant manner narrating its significance in a modern-day setting.
